Frankie Boyle: offensive or hilarious?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/aug/26/frankie-boyle-channel-4-series

Franie Boyle is one of the most controversial comics of his generation, he has often been slated for comments he has made about the queen and olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington.

Boyle who has become widely popular through BBC television show Mock The Week, often makes controversial jokes but his comment about the queen, "I'm now so old my pussy is haunted" was seen as too far for many people.

Boyles show will be in a late-night slot and has been described as "not for the faint hearted".

Personally i think that Frankie Boyle is a genius and that his comment about the queen was very funny, i was watching Mock The Week when it happened and i literally Rolled On the Floor Laughing. (ROFL)

Murdoch: tablets are the future of news corp

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/pda/2010/aug/03/rupert-murdoch-ipad-paywalls

"It looks like they will sell around 15m iPads this calender year and more than 40m by 2012. And the Ipad is just one of the many tablet or slate computers in the pipeline. News Corp fully intends to be across all those platforms too."

So Rupert Murdoch is cosying up to Apple and well who can blame him, as one the biggest names in the media industry apple are a good friend to have, Murdoch clearly knows this.

It is reported that blackberry are preparing to take on Apple as their new Torch phone is a big rival to Apples core market. Also Blackberry have been working on a direct rivalk to the Ipad dubbed the Blackpad.

ways in which truth is shown in a documentary

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-men-who-jump-off-buildings/4od

After watching an advert for a car i can't buy and a Tom Jones CD i don't want to buy on the 4OD site, the programme starts.

Notice i haven't chosen the most obvious documentary, as to be honest they bore me, i think it will be interresting to note how this one shows truth and compare it to your everyday boring documetary.

This documentary uses a mixture of base jumping clips and one-on-one interviews to show the truth of how the base jumping world works.

The documentary follows two base jumpers, Dan Witchalls and Ian Richardson, these two jumpers are nicknamed the "bandit jumpers" due to the fact that they jump buildings at night.

We learn that some of the london landmarks they have jumped from include:
  • wembley stadium
  • the O2 arena
  • nelsons collum
  • the hilton hotel

During the documentary truth is shown through the use of original jump footage and personal interviews with the jumpers.
