Richard Desmond : pornographer in chief :RTL who own Channel 5 now want to sell; Richard Desmond, who owns the Daily Star and the Daily Express, is the most serious bidder. Channel 4 have also been bidding but at this time Richard Desmond is the most likely person to buy the channel from RTL.
Richard Desmond may be seen as an unsuitable candidate to own Channel 5 as he owns the channel Television X and the Daily Star.
From March '09 to March '10 the Daily Star was the only newspaper which circulation figures grew for, they grew by 7.65% .
Although Richard Desmond also owns OK! and NEW! which are both successful and have become more successful over the years. So does this mean that he will stay proffessional and keep Channel 5 from becoming a failing media outlet.
